The State Minister for Health of the Tamil Nadu Government has emphasized the MANDATORY requirement of WEARING A FACE MASK DURING THE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS.
It may be noted that the NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS WERE BANNED
FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS DUE TO THE RAGING IMPACT OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC!
As such, all restrictions are relaxed, and the public is all
set to celebrate the advent of the New Year grandly – the start of 2023!
In this regard, the Police Department has undertaken all
precautionary activities to prevent any untoward incidents happening during the
New Year Celebrations between the evenings on 31st December until the
celebrations of the Dawn of the New Year the next day morning (1st January
2023)!
In this scenario, the State Health Minister of the
Government of Tamil Nadu, M. Subramanian, had a session with the press
reporters. The Tamil Nadu State Health Minister emphasized the need to wear
face masks on a mandatory basis and the usage of sanitisers!
The Health Minister further informed that 2 citizens arriving from China to Madurai were confirmed with coronavirus infection and the persons who had been in contact with these 2 persons are being monitored closely!
